Washington College/University Prerequisite Guide for Bastyr University's Naturopathic Medicine Program

WARNING: Washington State Community Colleges are switching to a Common Course Numbering system. This system is a Washington State program for course identification between community and technical colleges which changes the number and/or title of many courses.

The course numbers listed below DO NOT reflect the changes to the course numbering system. In other words, this information is not accurate. We will update this page as soon as possible. We apologize for the delay in updating this information. YOU SHOULD CONTACT A BASTYR ADMISSIONS ADVISOR IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT ABOUT WHICH COURSE TO TAKE AT YOUR COMMUNITY COLLEGE. You can schedule a phone or on-campus advising appointment by calling (425) 602-3330. Otherwise, you are responsible for determining the correct courses to take. Here is a tip: read your community college's catalog course descriptions closely. They will indicate how the course was formerly numbered.

Humanities: Art, classics, comparative literature, drama, English, journalism (writing), languages, music, philosophy (not Logic), and religion are acceptable courses. Biomedical ethics, philosophy of science, public speaking and English composition are recommended humanities courses.
(*) There does not appear to be a course offered at this school to fulfill our prerequisite requirements.
