Students must maintain a B average to remain in good standing in the program; however, the MSN/DPD program is more competitive and students will need to achieve a higher prerequisite GPA.

- Intro to Nutrition This course is not offered at Bastyr University. This course is a prerequisite for the master's program and can be taken concurrently at a local community college.
- Developmental Psychology (MSNCHP and DPD students only)
- Abnormal Psychology (MSNCHP students only)
- Whole Foods Production (graduate level) While post-bac students are allowed to take Whole Foods Production and elective credits towards the master's degree, they are not allowed to take any other MSN core curriculum.

How to Apply - Post-Bacc
Students interested in applying to the post-bac program should apply online for the Master of Science in Nutrition and follow the directions for the MSN degree application process.
In order to be considered for admittance to an MSN graduate program, post-bacc students must submit a third letter of reference from a Bastyr core-faculty member by the end of winter quarter. Post-bacc students do not need to submit a new application for entry into any MSN programs. Contact admissions if you have questions.

Program Summary - Post-Bacc
Degree
Post-Baccalaureate Program in Nutrition
Purpose
The post-bacc program allows students with non-science backgrounds or students missing a significant number of classes to complete the necessary prerequisites for the Master of Science in Nutrition program. Admissions into the post-bacc program does not guarantee admissions into the Master's program.
General Requirements
Bachelor's degree and prerequisite classes (algebra, biology, chemistry, and microbiology). Students enrolled in this preparatory program must meet standards of satisfactory progress and minimum standards of admissibility for the degree program for which they wish to matriculate.

Prerequisites - Post-Bacc
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and:

| Intermediate Algebra College Algebra is also highly recommended and will become a required prerequisite for students admitted for fall 2012. Important Change to Nutrition Prerequisites: Microbiology is highly recommended and will become a required prerequisite for students admitted to the Masters of Nutrition beginning fall 2012. Students beginning the Post-Bacc program in 2011 will be required to complete Microbiology prior to enrolling in the MSN program in 2012.
