The Parent Resource Center (PRC) at Bastyr University is looking for a teacher for our multi-age
(3 months to 5 years) program. We care for the children of students and staff on the Kenmore
Campus of Bastyr University. This is a part time position, hours may vary.
Responsible for developing strong relationships with the children, building and scaffolding their learning and development, and seeing that each child’s daily needs (eating, napping, diapers, play) are being met. Help to maintain an inclusive, supportive community for the children at the center.
Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education
Ability to relate positively to young children, parents, and staff
Flexibility and enthusiasm when supporting the development of young children
Effective and strong communication skills
Must be able to pass national background check
Ability to acquire basic first aid/infant CPR within 30 days of hire date
Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Be able to walk, squat, kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children's
health and safety
