Providing clinic supervision in the School’s teaching clinics. Mentor and advice students and teaching fellows at the clinic. Under the direction of the Dean of the School of Traditional World Medicine, administers the clinical curriculum based on a competency based clinical education program (clinic entry exam) with clearly articulated outcomes, objectives and performance criteria. Ensures compliance with all AOM regulatory and licensing requirements for clinical work both faculty and students. Help supervise highly qualified clinical faculty and AOM teaching fellows. Responsible for oversight of student profession through the clinical program. Clinic and administrative projects as assigned by the Dean. Participate on University committees and be actively engaged in the University community. Engage in scholarly work such as research, publications, etc. Other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Must be familiar with acknowledged acupuncture and Oriental medicine scope of practice, licensing and regulatory practices. Must have administrative experience. Prefer 8 or more years of teaching experience and at least 8 years of experience as a practicing acupuncturist. Have a DAOM or Doctoral level training. Administrative experience, at the University or higher education level, is essential. Must have NCCAOM diplomate status. Prior research experience a plus. Licensed acupuncturist (or licensable) in Washington State.
