Past Experience
Dr. Kloubec was a faculty member at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota for over 15 years and currently is also an adjunct faulty at Seattle University. She was involved as a researcher in several multi-site national studies on cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes. Prior to entering full-time into academia, June was the Assistant Director of the Minneapolis YWCA. She has been a certified personal trainer since 1985 and is certified in yoga, Pilates and massage therapy. June also has been a collegiate track and cross country coach.
Current Roles
Dr. Kloubec joined the Bastyr faculty in 2008 and is a core faculty member in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science.

Interests
Dr. Kloubec has a special interest in promoting undergraduate research. Her own interests are centered on exercise and public health.
Philosophy
To challenge students to apply the knowledge they learn in class to the real world and to be able to think about this information on deeper, more meaningful levels and to motivate students to exceed their own expectations (tempered with a healthy dose of realism.)
